  • Hourly Wages – Starting at $12.00 per hour

  • Job Type – Full Time and Part Time

  • Work Schedule – Flexibility preferred, especially on weekends and holidays


Position Summary:
Burgers At is seeking an enthusiastic cook who shares our commitment to uncompromising quality of food and service. The cook is responsible for preparing all food orders within a timely manner, according to guests' special request, and Burgers At recipes, while maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen.

Responsibilities:

  • Food prep, cooking and cleaning.

  • Prepares food according to standardized recipes to ensure high quality consistent products, as well as customize orders according to special guest requests.

  • Operates kitchen equipment in a safe manner to avoid injury to self and others.

  • Adheres to specific product prep procedures to minimize waste and spoilage.

  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of basic food safety guidelines.

  • Assist with ordering necessary food supplies, as directed.

  • Maintain cleanliness and highest level of sanitation of all work areas. 

  • Ensures proper storage and labeling of food.

  • Checks all kitchen machinery, refrigerators, and freezers for proper working order. 

  • Report any repairs or maintenance needed to the acting manager in a timely manner.

  • Report all cleaning and sanitation concerns to the acting manager in a timely manner.

  • Assists leadership in executing restaurant opening or closing procedures.

  • Exhibits professional standards through appearance and demeanor.

  • Maintains positive working relationships with management and coworkers; willingly follows directions and requests as appropriate.

  • Completes tasks assigned beyond the job description when necessary.


Qualifications:

  • Food Handler Certification

  • Must have a positive attitude and commitment to excellent customer service

  • Must have excellent oral communication skills in English

  • Must be an enthusiastic team player and willing to take direction

  • Ability to stand for 8 hours

  • Ability to lift 35-50 pounds

  • Ability to use motion that entails pushing, pulling, stretching and continuous bilateral use of fingers and wrists


Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)


Experience:

  • At least 1 year on-the-job experience as a cook

  • Must be proficient in the operation of kitchen machinery and basic cooking utensils
